Information for Investors

This page explains the process by which you can obtain further information concerning any project which you have found of interest. The process may seem a little protracted but is required in order for the SMART Club, its members and you to meet the FSA requirements relating to offers to invest.`

However, you have only to go through this process once. When the paperwork is complete you will be able to obtain information on future Opportunities simply by asking for it.

If you have found a project, or projects, which interest you then you must ask your FSA authorised adviser to contact the Club on your behalf to register (FSA authorised organizations can contact us directly) using the e-mail link at the bottom of this page. This allows you to immediately register any particular interest using the reference numbers.

The Club’s solicitor will then ask for proof of FSA registration: it will be the responsibility of your (the investor’s) adviser to do any checks on you. Once proof of these checks have been received, together with a registration fee of £100 plus VAT, your adviser will be able to access the uncensored version of the list you saw on the previous page. If you are still interested after seeing the full entry your adviser will be put in direct contact with the advisers to the Member company, and matters proceed naturally from there.

In addition we ask you to give us your e-mail address and for an indication of the technologies for investment which most interest you so that we can alert you to future opportunities as they occur.

Please complete the document accessed through the link at the bottom of this page, after you have read the important, FSA-related, which follows.
